The objective of this project was to create a postcard design for Iceland that creatively explores the use of complementary colors (orange and blue) while highlighting one of the country’s most iconic animals: the puffin!

The postcard combines photography and graphic illustration to celebrate the puffin’s presence along Iceland’s coastal waters. The bird’s natural coloring—vibrant orange beak and feet—provided the perfect inspiration for a color palette that contrasts beautifully with rich blues of the surrounding sea and sky.

This project demonstrates a thoughtful blend of wildlife appreciation, national identity, and color theory. While showcasing the puffin as a beloved symbol of Iceland’s unique natural charm.
